"Be welcome here"
Here, we are well. That is the promise of this place, and the state of mind of those who live and work here.
Facing the Alpilles, on the road between Arles and Avignon, Mas des Thorades cultivates 15,000 olive trees on 12.5 hectares of ancient land. Stone has been here since Antiquity. The olive trees, since 2021. The farm is young, founded on a simple choice: to produce high-quality, accessible olive oil in Provence, using the most demanding methods of the Mediterranean basin. Delphine manages the farm. Daniel drives commercial development. Together, they have given an agricultural purpose back to a mas dormant for forty years, now classified as High Environmental Value.
Two temperaments, one high standard
The project is based on a duo. Delphine manages production and harvesting, agronomic decisions, and daily work in the plots. Daniel, an experienced entrepreneur, handles business and marketing. Their common goal: a human-scale farm, sized for two people, efficient and and profitable.
Our Story
In 2010, Mas des Thorades had been dormant for forty years. Dilapidated buildings, fallow land. The Labails family chose to revive this place. First the buildings, then the land, then the olive trees. Fifteen years of work to bring regional heritage back to life.
"Think differently, accept not having total control, work for those who come after"
Our Land
Graveson, between the Alpilles and the Durance. Lands of ancient marshes where water has always nurtured cultivation. Rich soil, a dry climate, and precision agriculture guided by the best agronomists in the Mediterranean basin.
“Thorades” comes from the word “Thor,” meaning water resurgence. The farmhouse is located opposite the Alpilles, on old marshes fed by branches of the Durance river, a few kilometers from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
Our Oils
Green fruity, ripe fruity, mature olives.
Three characteristics, one single standard.
Blends of varieties selected for their aromatic profiles, pressed at the Domaine de Bournissac mill, under the supervision and expertise of Margaux and Eric Bayol.
